Artemisia Salve

Mugwort is a wise and potent healer who helps us face our shadows within. Standing tall and spreading wide, she reclaims space in the name of sovereignty and heals the past in the name of empowerment; a gentle nurturer, easing pain and opening doors to new worlds. The spirit of Mugwort opens the way to see with more than just our eyes and allows us to know slightly more than just the words spoken. Take her hand as you fall asleep, she will allow you to fall into the deep well within and find the shards of yourself you have left behind; beware though, of shadows well hidden that you are not yet ready to find.

Each batch is made in ritual on the Full Moon.

Ingredients: Artemisia vulgaris, Artemisia verlotiorum, Poplus spp, Black Pepper Essential oil, Peppermint Essential oil, Grapeseed oil, Carnauba Wax.

Mugwort has a long history of being used as a fumitory herb, to cleanse and protect a person and space, or even to call in or banish spirits. The plant spirit is also known to help open one's prophetic sight and aid with dreamwork with a particular knack for helping with dream recall and lucid dreaming states. Personally, I also highly rate it for trance work and spirit flight. It also has also long been regarded as a sacred women's herb understandably so through its role in herbalism. That said, it can act as an abortifacient and shouldn't be used by those pregnant or looking to conceive. 

Poplar Buds have a strong association with the dead, with Poplar trees being known as a tree of the graveyard and having ties to the underworld. It is said that White Poplar trees grow along the river banks in Hades, making them chthonic by nature, and act as a key into the underworld by journeying up and down the tree as one works with the spirit of this plant. 

Possible Side Effects:

May cause changes in heart rate, restlessness, difficulty sleeping, and nightmares.

May cause miscarriage if pregnant. 

Keep ointments away from mucous membranes (eyes, nose, mouth and genitals), open cuts and wounds.

Wash hands after use and discontinue use if a rash occurs.

Do not use it while driving or operating machinery.

You may experience a slight cooling sensation.

Effects can last for 6-8 hours.
